Ladies night out
Some lesson we learn the hard way. And it is the second time in the space of 12 months that I am learning it.
Don't trust advertising by cinemas, theatres and other entertainment places. Always phone to find out if what is being advertised, is exactly as stated. Make sure you are talking to the right person and ask questions even if they sound silly.
So what am I going on about? the Nu Metro 80's night was sold out - apparently booking was essential - ("You buy your ticket to a Girls' Night Out preview exactly as you would buy any other movie ticket - at Computicket, through our website or at the cinema."). I guess I was silly to think I could turn up there on the night and get tickets as I would for any other movie.
As my students would say - "My Bad"
Claudelle, Ruth and I however enjoyed some shopping, supper at the Food Court and dessert at Lino's Bakery (divine cake - poor service). It was great to be out without the kids and to catch up with my girlfriends.

Your complaining really doesn't make any sense to me. You try to book for an event, and you find that it is sold out. Then you blame the venue for this, like, God forbid they should ever dare to sell all the tickets they have available.
It sounds to me like they DO sell the tickets like they do for any other movie. First-come-first-served, and if you pull up at the last minute and all the tickets are sold, it's not the fault of the advertising.
I agree with Brian. I don't see what Simone is bitching about. How exactly would she want the venue to ensure that she can get a ticket at the last minute? Should they always keep one in reserve in case she decides to rock up?
Let's see ..... movie vs fun night out with shopping, supper and dessert at a bakery ..... I'll take the fun night out with friends any day!
Always disappointing when you plan something and it doesn't work out. It was nice to see that you all had fun anyways.
I was complaining because when I go there they said I needed to book weeks in advance.
The Baxter theatre has actually changed their advert - to be more explicit.
I live about a 40min drive away from these places...........
I know do the telephone booking and enjoy going to the shows.
If I go the movies I don't book in advance....
I admit it is my ignorance ..... I have learnt my lesson.... but I am sure I am not the only one who experienced this.
