ww from Galway

Photos taken at two different churches just outside of Galway earlier this year.

I need to get out and take more photographs. Get some new material.

Fascinating, unusual windows! Church windows are always a good source of the unusual and dramatic and colourful!

Both very nice photos. I very much like the stained glass!

both are nice, but the second is very striking. If you want to wander down my road I’m home.

Gorgeous church windows! The stone and the Celtic cross in the first photo are especially pleasing. In the second...how unusual is that to have eight smaller round stained-glass windows around a larger one. I've never seen anything like that! I suspect there is an interesting story and symbolism behind each circle.

When I had a round stained glass window made for our home, the maker said it reminded her of something in an old Irish church. Perhaps I'll post it sometime for Window Views and we'll see if you agree.

p.s. I also love those dreamy swan photos. :-)

Stained glass is gorgeous. After a month of rain we have good crisp fall weather forecasted this weekend. I think it may be time for a walk with my camera.
