HEADS OR TAILS
It is one of the most unpleasant experiences you can have. I have experienced been stung by these Blue Bottles twice in my lifetime on the Durban Beach front (South Africa). The worst part is that they re able to sting even when lying dead on the beach.
"Blue Bottles: are also known as Portuguese Man (or Men) O’ War. Their scientific name is Physalia physalis. Blue Bottles are dangerous organisms. Their tentacles are able to deliver painful stings to swimmers."

I can't see the picture.. Is it like a jellyfish? When I was growing up in Florida we were always warned to stay away from them.

Nature can sure be scary and painful.
Yep, we have them on our beach too. And we call them man of war. I haven't been stung by them yet...and really, I don't wanna be stung by one.
Mine is lame for bottle. But, I just added a bit o' fun to it also. Come by if you can.
They look so pretty in the water, but I sure wouldn't want to be stung.

I was just going to ask if they were like a jelly fish, but I see Skittles beat me to it.
I've never been stung by one of those but an urchin got me while I was snorkeling once. Ouch!
